Christianity. As the most widespread, most practiced, and most known religion out of all countries, Christianity is the number-one dominant religion in the world. In 2010, the number of Christian followers was just under 2.17 billion, which is 31.4% of the human population.

Judaism is the world’s second-oldest religion. However, it is the oldest of the monotheistic religions. Judaism formally started roughly around 690 BC but events leading to its establishment started much earlier.
In ancient Egyptian Atenism, possibly the earliest recorded monotheistic religion, this deity was called Aten and proclaimed to be the one “true” Supreme Being and creator of the universe.
