Northwestern has EVERYTHING: easy big city (Chicago) access, big ten sports, smart people, fun social life, beautiful campus, evanston has excellent food, great reputation. Evanston is definitely one of the greatest assets about Northwestern.

Known as an innovative, business-oriented law school, Northwestern Law offers more to its students than just a prime central Chicago location. With its well-established preference for students with work experience and demonstrated interpersonal skills, the school fosters a professional environment.
The same goes for the implications of pretentiousness. Northwestern is known as a pretty “nerdy” school. … The students here earn stereotypes as nerds obsessed with homework and grades because of the reputation of the school. While many students here are extremely devoted to schoolwork, everyone still has fun on campus.
Any type of person can attend this school. There are very outgoing people, greek life and partiers. There are also very cool students that work hard and still party. And there are also students that don’t party at all but still have a good time.
Northwestern admissions is extremely selective with an acceptance rate of 9%. Students that get into Northwestern have an average SAT score between 1440-1550 or an average ACT score of 33-35. The regular admissions application deadline for Northwestern is January 3.

Northwestern is a boring school that shouldn’t be in the Big Ten. They have poor athletics, greek life, and social scene. They’re good for theater and journalism. Northwestern is a strictly academic university with no traces of fun.
Northwestern is not technically an Ivy. However, it rivals the Ivies in terms of its academic prestige, admissions selectivity, and research output. Alongside the University of Chicago, Northwestern is the most selective and esteemed university in the entire Midwest.

Today, the Bluhm Legal Clinic houses more than 20 clinics within 14 centers and is widely recognized as one of the most comprehensive and effective clinical programs in the country. Through the law school’s clinical program, students gain direct experience representing clients and fine-tune their skills as advocates.
In one recent study, Northwestern law school ranked second for sending the most law students (per capita at the law school) directly to the biggest and most prestigious law firms, the National Law Journal 250.

The admissions process is holistic so having a good GPA isn’t everything, but you have to remember that Northwestern’s acceptance rate is around 10%. Unless other aspects of your application are truly incredible, it will be extremely difficult to get into Northwestern with a sub 3.5 GPA.

Typically very smart, driven, but also incredibly judgemental. Northwestern students are academically gifted and typically well-bred; their intellect comes with tradition of brotherhood and a certain Midwestern friendliness that can be shocking to those from the East Coast.
Northwestern has the perfect combination of rigorous academics, a friendly and highly collaborative culture, students who are truly passionate about what they do, and professors who are both amazing educators and experts in their fields.
