Staying in touch with students can take a variety of forms: talking to the entire group of students while in class, sending group or individual emails, encouraging conversation on a discussion board, or soliciting feedback via surveys from students and their families.
Energizers are activities used in workshops and group situations to help participants be more alert and active; they can also be an important way of people getting to know and understand one another. There are many different energizers of varying length, complexity, exertion and ingenuity.
In education, student engagement refers to the degree of attention, curiosity, interest, optimism, and passion that students show when they are learning or being taught, which extends to the level of motivation they have to learn and progress in their education.
