To create a new Jamboard, open the tool with a browser that is already logged in to your Google account. Once you arrive on the Jamboard main page, click the + button to create a new board (Figure A). Creating a new Google Jamboard is just a click away.
Right-click a Jam in Drive to make a copy. Or click the three dots in the upper-right of the Jamboard editor and choose “Make a copy.”
Making a template in Jamboard is an easy thing to do. The first step is to create a Jamboard just like you normally would by going to jamboard.google.com then clicking the “new” icon. Then create your Jamboard with the drawings, images, text, and icons that you like.
Create or open a jam. Tap the frame bar to expand it. Touch and hold the frame and then swipe up to duplicate it.
When you open your Google Jamboard file and look at the URL, locate the word VIEWER. Replace that with the word copy. Then simply copy this NEW URL and post it as an assignment or share it with your students/coleagues so that it forces them to make a copy of it and have their individual Jamboard file! Hope this helps!
If you create an assignment, post it, AND THEN try to edit it, you will not have the option to make a copy for each student. Go to “Classwork” and use the “Reuse post” option to make a copy of your assignment, but this time select make a copy for each student the FIRST time you post it.
Let your students edit
You can give all students editing rights on a Jamboard so that they can actually contribute to a class discussion in a visual way. … Once the lesson is done, you can revoke editing access.
It’s simplistic collaboration, and now you have the option to add Jamboards as assignments in Google Classroom. To get started, go to jamboard.google.com. Students will not need the app to participate on a Jamboard you assign to them.
Using the Jamboard app you can insert Google Drive files, such as files from Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides, in a jam.
Is Google Jamboard free? Yes, as an app and platform is free. You can also use it through tablets, smartphones, and even web browsers. Jamboard starts at USD $4,999 (includes 1 Jamboard display, 2 styluses, 1 eraser, and 1 wall mount) with a one-time management and support fee payment of USD $600.

Each jam can have up to 20 frames. You can view frames in the frame bar.
1) Click “share” in the top right-hand corner of the Jamboard file. 2) To share a Jamboard, “invite specific people by providing their email address” or “generate a link” that can be distributed to several users.
The Make a copy for each student setting automatically creates an individual copy of the attached file for every student. The copies are immediately titled with each student’s name and attached as student work to the assignment. Students can then edit and submit their work as usual.
