Before we start, make sure that you’re running the latest version of Chrome. Next, click the “Extensions” button next to your Profile avatar. This dropdown will show you all of the extensions that are installed and enabled in Chrome.

SOLUTION!: Go to chrome://flags in URL bar, search for extensions, DISABLE “Extensions MENU”. Then relaunch chrome and it goes back to the old extensions toolbar! Can now see all extensions in toolbar & in menu (3 dots), & rearrange them.

The Extensions folder lay on the root level of every Classic Mac OS System Folder from System 7 through to the last versions of Mac OS 9. Inside the Extensions folder went the individual extensions, bits of add-on code which extended (hence the name extensions) the capabilities of the Macintosh.
Click on the wrench icon located on the far right side of the Google Toolbar. The Toolbar Options window will display. Some operating systems hide file extensions by default to reduce clutter. It is possible to show the file extensions if they’re hidden.

Because these are common (or known) types of file, Windows doesn’t display the . doc or . mp3 by default as it deems the additional information unnecessary. … But, if it’s a known file type – and therefore the extension is hidden – all you’re doing is appending the filename.
“Known” is loosely used there. It is saying that there are globally known file types, such as exe, zip, cpp, txt, etc. And then there aren’t (like . blah).
